My Senior Prom!

How’s everyone doing today!? Today I thought I would update you all on my senior prom. A few weeks ago, I wrote a post talking about my getting ready for my prom and now, I can officially say I’ve been to prom! Our prom was last Saturday night, and I must say I had a really great time. So I’ll just give you a little run down on what happened! I started getting ready around 2:00PM on Saturday and around three o’clock we went out and I got some pictures with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend. My prom date wanted me at her house around 4:00 so I then went out there for some pictures with her and her family. Then most of our graduating class went to a local golf course for pictures with each other and for a big group photo (they close down the course every year on prom day for us!). Prom!

Yes, I am going to prom! I just thought I would post a little update because I haven’t posted anything on here in awhile. So, prom! Since the beginning of the year, one of my good friends was always dropping hints for me to take her to prom. I didn’t think that I wanted to go to prom, but one day I finally gave in and asked her. Our prom is next weekend, so I’ve been spending the last few weeks getting everything ready. Our prom is at this big entertainment/recreational establishment, so the dinner and dance is right there. All we had to do was buy tickets. So I got the tickets at the beginning of May. The next thing for me to do was get a tux. She is wearing a red dress so with that in mind, I got a black Calvin Klein tux with a red vest, tie, pocket square, etc. So I got fitted for that a few weeks ago and I just picked it up last week! Our prom is next weekend, so the last thing I have to do is pick up her corsage. There is probably going to be a lot of pictures, so if I have some good ones, I’ll let you all see!

Organize Your Thoughts – Journaling

Something that I really wanted to get back into is keeping a log of the things I’m doing and thinking. So, I thought I would start keeping a journal! There is a lot of things going to be changing for me soon – with going off to University and everything – and I think it would be nice to have a place to write down all the things that are happening. This way I can go back to any day and see where I was at that point in time. To sound completely cheesy, I am soon beginning a new chapter in my life, and feel like this would be a great thing to look back on. Creative Way to Stay Connected While at College!

With all of today’s technology, it’s not that hard to stay connected with family and friends while away at college. There is the phone, email, video chat, text messaging, but why not be creative and go back to the way things used to be; with letters! It’s very easy to send off a quick email, or call home to update your family and friends, but writing a letter is always more special. When someone takes the time to hand write a letter, it’s brings about a personal aspect to the message. Journey to College: Call From the Dean!

Hey everyone! I thought I would start creating college update posts so you could all – for lack of a better phrase – come along this journey with me. Now I know that sounds a little cheesy, but I think it will be a help for some people. A lot of people are nervous about going away to college, and if I can share my experience to show people it’s nothing to fret about, than I have accomplished my goal. So I just plan on blogging about everything that I experience on my “journey to college”. From things like buying items for my dorm room, and applying for scholarships to course selections and future plans. Just a Little Update!

The picture above is a bit deceiving because I actually didn’t go some place tropical for spring break – actually… I didn’t go anywhere for spring break, although I wish I had. So today I just wanted to post a little update for you all. I know I said on Twitter, that I was going to be posting more while I was on my break, but I am truly sorry that I didn’t get around to it. I was really enjoying my time off, just relaxing and hanging out with friends. There were a few nights I started writing a post, but I just didn’t have the energy to put my all into it and I didn’t want to put anything out there if it could have been better – so I hope you forgive me! Anyway, it is currently Sunday night, and I go back to school tomorrow. I just finished working on a lab report for the night and before I go get ready to watch The Celebrity Apprentice, I thought I would just update you a little bit! The most fun thing that I did over my break, and the most important, was go visit my University that I will be attending in September! I had set up a meeting with one of the people to go over a couple things but I will go into more detail about that in a future “collage update” post. I also have some other exciting news that I am saving for my college update post, so stay tuned for that! It will probably be up tomorrow or the next day! Other than going to visit my University, I had a lot of fun going out shopping! I got some new shoes, pants, phone cases, and some more school related stuff – one item which I am dedicating an upcoming post to! So stay tuned for that as well! Overall, I had a pretty good break, and I am ready to get back into the swing of things, and that means updating the website too!
